Feedback Loop | USA
My project, the Feedback Loop, addresses the fears of public speaking, a problem present for many students and even adults. My program uses VR technology so users can record themselves giving a presentation in a classroom. The program transcribes and grades with the use of ai. The first important system is the whisper ai feature, which uses ai to convert the user’s speech into text. Next, the chatbot grading feature, analyses the transcript to output a letter grade and additional feedback. Finally, the overall integration of VR that allows users to interact, boosting the app’s realism. This feature tackled a huge design challenge to make the application more realistic and enjoyable. I noticed how my project heavily related to the prompt, as the Feedback Loop allows users to practice their presentation skills even without a real audience present. Quality education should be accessible to anyone and help students improve, something that my project offers. The use of VR technology is an example of innovation in the education system, where VR is being applied to help learning. Finally, despite the need of a headset, my project still reduces inequality by improving access to realistic presentation practice.
