Pathlight is a cultural/language co-pilot for international students who are navigating life in a new country. Relocation to a new country for education often comes with a myriad of challenges, whether that be with unfamiliar banking, healthcare practices, or social norms as a whole. Pathlight aims to mitigate these challenges by offering a personalized "Day 1 to Day 90+" roadmap for students, covering all aspects of their new lives and allowing them to seamlessly transition into the exciting endeavor ahead of them. The service is equipped with a Realistic Conversation Simulator, where students are able to practice real-world scenarios (renting an apartment, visiting a doctor, etc) in 3 different modes (Native-Language Scaffolded, Bilingual, Full Immersion) to ensure students of any starting fluency level are prepared to face such situations when they occur in real life. As a part of our mission to reduce the widespread social disparity that new students frequently face, Pathlight runs a freemium model (with a University License option for international student offices), giving institutions a scalable way to support their foreign students.
